REVOLUTION – The Body’s Revolution

This project marks the third stage of a journey that choreographer Francesca Lettieri has been pursuing for some time, exploring the theme of improvisation between voice, body, and music — a journey through the capacity of sound to "disrupt" the danced gesture, pushing the body into an unknown and unsettling territory.

Within this space of "risk," the danced gesture rediscovers the deep ambivalence of the body and its being: weight and lightness, desire and absolute beauty, fragility and power, primitive impulse and delicate state of being, following a composition that feeds on spontaneous, uncontrolled dance in search of the carnal essence of humanity.
